Good afternoon Falcon Families and Community,
We hope you all had a wonderful week and weekend. It was a busy week at Pedro Menendez High School. We held expectation assemblies for each grade level, reviewing the actions and steps that students can take to be most successful during the 2023-2024 school year. Some areas of focus were attendance, technology usage (including phones and ear buds, appropriate attire, and consistently engaging in learning.
Teachers have posted their "Welcome Back" presentations in Schoology. Take a moment to review these with your student.
On August 24th, our School Advisory Committee will have the first meeting of the year. SAC is led by Ms. Willis. If you have any questions regarding SAC, please email her at erica.willis@stjohns.k12.fl.us.
Please see the flyer below regarding digital IDs. These will be utilized this year for students in the media center, cafeteria, checking in and out and other school events. If your child does not have a cell phone, we do have alternative options. IN addition, all students must complete the form below to access the SJCSD network and acknowledge access to the SJCSD student code of conduct.

Our Junior class had a meeting with Jostens regarding class rings. Our senior class had an assembly with Jostens regarding Cap and Gown information. Our graduation will take place on May 22nd at 7:00pm at the St. Augustine Amphitheater.
A multitude of our clubs are recruiting or beginning meets. Information regarding clubs is posted throughout the campus. Best Buddies spent the week recruiting members. Other clubs like HOSA have already had their first meeting. Please encourage your child to get involved in something of interest.
Visitors to campus MUST complete a School Access Form which can be found on the SJCSD website at https://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/volunteer/.
- This clearance is for entry on campus during school hours such as a morning meeting with teachers or counselors, volunteering, or other events.
Speaking of websites, we are working to update and upgrade our website. Please be patient as we make updates over the coming weeks.
We are still seeking to fill one teacher position of ESE teacher. If you are interested, please visit the PMHS website and click on "Job Vacancies". You can also email me directly if interested at ted.banton@stjohns.k12.fl.us
