Hurricane Season Begins June 1
For the 2021 hurricane season, which begins June 1 and runs through November 30, forecasters are calling for an above-average season. Just how active is unknown but AccuWeather predicts 16 to 20 named storms, 7 to 10 hurricanes of which 5 may be a Category-3 or above.
