Join us for a day dedicated to teens, filled with career and job exploration opportunities!


Teens will have the opportunity to interact with diverse career mentors in our Edmonton area and discover the many possible future career options, including education, criminal justice, health care, trades, and entrepreneurship!


They will also get the chance to meet with Edmonton employers that will be hiring for after-school or summer jobs!


Food, networking, and prizes are all part of the day!
This event is open for all youth 14+

Teen Takeover Big Possibilities Event
Volunteer Experience with Teen takeover
March 1st, 2024 from 8am - 4pm at Eastglen school.
 
The RBC Big Possibilities Program aims to provide individuals 18-24 with the opportunity to gain employment experience through volunteering a minimum 8 hours, part of the 8 hours will be a training and orientation.
 
For those who are interested in volunteering at this event, we will be hosting a virtual training day on Tuesday February 27th, 2024 at 4pm that you will need to attend where we will talk about what Teen Takeover is as well as assign roles and responsibilities.
 
This is a great opportunity for young people to get volunteer work experience as well as network with various career mentors. Young people will gain skills that will be transferable to their resume. After the event, there will be follow up day where we will work on resume building.

Discover Summer Camp Opportunities
Summer jobs offer youth valuable opportunities for personal and professional growth, preparing them for future academic and career success while instilling important life skills and values.

Check out below some of summer camp openings across Edmonton!

The Northern Alberta YMCA is looking for Day Camp Counsellors to provide leadership for and create a safe, positive, and fun environment for our campers, fellow staff, and volunteers. As a Day Camp Counsellor, you will work with other counsellors to provide a memorable summer for our campers and your peers.

As an outdoor recreation and play Program Leader, you will be responsible for creating recreation and play opportunities for children in Edmonton. You will succeed in this role if you can perform all tasks in a respectful, inclusive and service-minded way.



Kids On Track is a community-building organization that provides hope, direction, and ongoing support for children, youth, and their parents. Educational, social, spiritual, and recreational elements are combined to deliver well-rounded summer programs. 



Join Royal City Soccer Club's team of energetic, soccer-loving camp staff this summer. They have 4 different positions plus amazing volunteer opportunities. Check out below some of those opportunities and visit their website for more details!
Camp Counsellor

Camp Counsellors manage and supervise a group of campers (kids aged 5 – 13) throughout the day. Together with the supervisor, they will operate the summer day camp program throughout the week while adhering to safety protocols.
Counsellor in Training (CIT)
CITs will work closely with Camp Counsellors and supervisors to implement camp activities and ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone. CITs may or may not be put in charge of a group of campers.
Volunteers

Gain great experience while having fun! Volunteers are an important part of camp success. Volunteers are expected to maintain a good work ethic by assisting all staff and providing a fun and safe learning atmosphere for campers.
