We are happy to announce that the netWORK Youth Employment is here! This is a program for youth who are 14 years old and above looking for support with employment and career development.

RBC Future Launch Scholarship
The RBC Future Launch Scholarship is currently open for applications on a rolling basis. This scholarship is exclusively for youth aged 15-29 who are not in school or only studying part time. Valued at $1,500, funds can be used for learning opportunities including short-term courses, workshops, certificates, online training; and other expenses related to advancing skills.
Do you know a young person in your community who could benefit from this support? Please share this opportunity widely. Applications are accepted and scholarships are granted on a rolling basis. Youth are encouraged to choose a learning opportunity and apply today!
RBC Future Launch Scholarship for Indigenous Youth
The RBC Future Launch Scholarship for Indigenous Youth will be open for applications between September 28th and December 1st, 2022.
This scholarship is awarded to 20 First Nations, Inuit and Métis students across Canada every year, and is valued at up to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. Candidates must have applied to, or be registered to attend a post-secondary institution in the 2023/24 school year, full-time.

Deloitte Impact Day: Power of Mentoring

Deloitte is teaming up with MENTOR Canada to host its premier virtual career mentoring experiences during Impact Day 2022 on Friday, October 21 – there are two time slots available and each will feature different leaders. Deloitte professionals representing diverse demographics, geographies, and career experiences will engage with young leaders ages 18-29 from across Canada in informal career mentoring conversations. Mentors and young leaders will opt into topics during registration (interview prep & practice, career exploration, goal setting & achievement) and have the opportunity to engage in two rounds of breakout discussions in the session following a short, facilitated panel discussion with Deloitte leaders. The mentoring experiences are designed to support young leaders in developing and/or enhancing skills and insights that support the achievement of academic, career, and life goals. ON the Job Old Navy Shadow Program
ON the Job is a job shadow program offered by Old Navy where participants can have fun and learn real job skills, with a possibility of being hired. While teens that are 14 & 15 are able to participate in the program, only youth who are 16+ can be legally hired.

YMCA offers free opportunities for youth that are designed to help youth work on some personal goals (i.e., self esteem, anger management) and also engage in workshops that build hard skills (i.e., babysitting course, music program,)

We need your help!
In conjunction with the Edmonton Elks and the Grid Iron Gang, we will be selling raffle tickets and spreading awareness for Kids Up Front at the remaining Edmonton Elks home games.
Remaining home games are:
- October 1 @ 2:00 PM
- October 15 @ 5:00 PM
- October 21 @ 7:30 PM
Time commitment is as follows: required to arrive at Commonwealth Stadium one hour before game time and stay until the end of the third quarter. (Approx. 3 hours in length). You are welcome to volunteer with a colleague, friend, family member, or we can pair you up with another individual.

YMCA Y Mind Program
Y Mind is a free seven-week group mental wellness program delivered to teens aged 13 to 18 and youth aged 18 to 30 who experience mild to moderate anxiety. Youth learn effective skills to cope with symptoms of anxiety and engage in early-intervention mental wellness support in a safe environment that connects others who have similar experiences.

- For kids 8-17 years
- $15/month or drop in for $2/day
- Anyone ages 8+ can go to the pool and gym on their own. They need to be 12+ to use the fitness centre and will need to take a Youth in Action course which is free with this pass.
- Youth need to scan in between 1- 530pm, but can stay all evening.

- Programs offered by non profit groups for free at various recreation centres (some of which are offered by FCSS funded agencies).
- Some programs are drop-in and some are registered.
