Bell Let’s Talk Day 2024: Let’s create real change
Here’s what you can do
There is not just one way, or one day to take action. You can use the ideas on letstalk.bell.ca for inspiration or come up with your own actions and share 'em using #BellLetsTalk and help inspire others to join the movement to create real change.


Join us for a day dedicated to teens, filled with career and job exploration opportunities!


Teens will have the opportunity to interact with diverse career mentors in our Edmonton area and discover the many possible future career options, including education, criminal justice, health care, trades, and entrepreneurship!


They will also get the chance to meet with Edmonton employers that will be hiring for after-school or summer jobs!


Food, networking, and prizes are all part of the day!
This event is open for all youth 14+

"Job Search 101” is designed to help young people on their career search, providing tips to ensure they are set up for success. Learn more about important job search skills including how to select jobs, resume basics and skills for interview & networking success.

Check out some of the cool volunteer and job opportunities out there in the community!
Explore flexible seasonal opportunities with the City of Edmonton in vibrant venues like Fort Edmonton Park, the Valley Zoo, and more. Make a difference in the community through roles in park maintenance, day camp leadership, or administrative support. Keep an eye out for openings during spring/summer and fall/winter.Check out below some of the recent openings across Edmonton
Join Royal City Soccer Club's team of energetic, soccer-loving camp staff this summer. They have 4 different positions plus amazing volunteer opportunities. Check out below some of those opportunities and visit their website for more details!
Camp Counsellor

Camp Counsellors manage and supervise a group of campers (kids aged 5 – 13) throughout the day. Together with the supervisor, they will operate the summer day camp program throughout the week while adhering to safety protocols.
Counsellor in Training (CIT)
CITs will work closely with Camp Counsellors and supervisors to implement camp activities and ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone. CITs may or may not be put in charge of a group of campers.
Volunteers

Gain great experience while having fun! Volunteers are an important part of camp success. Volunteers are expected to maintain a good work ethic by assisting all staff and providing a fun and safe learning atmosphere for campers.

This is a comprehensive job-hunting platform offering tools for résumés, cover letters, job searching, interview preparation, and more. It features over 200 sample résumés, allows for both creating and uploading résumés, and includes a list of Canadian-specific scholarships for students.

This unique Conference is removing barriers and building opportunities.

SPARK is designed to bring together Indigenous owned companies, sectors of industry, educational institutions, businesses, and career development resources to highlight the number of careers available to Indigenous youth (ages: 16-30) across Canada.

Division Awards

Edmonton Public Schools offers several awards that recognize the achievements of Grade 12 students.

School Awards

Many Division schools offer school-specific awards to recognize outstanding student accomplishments, contributions and achievements. These awards recognize excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, citizenship, leadership and service. Contact your teacher or school counsellor for more information about the awards offered at your school and how to apply. 
Provincial Awards

Alberta Education offers scholarships to high school students, including the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship of up to $2,500 towards their post-secondary education. Learn more about provincial scholarships and how to apply
