Some of the benefits for volunteering include the opportunity to watch some of the performances, free snacks, tickets for future shows, monthly draws, and a year-end party with a Volunteer of the Year award.

Kin Canada Bursaries was established in 1994 by Kin Canada as a legacy to its Founder, Harold Allin Rogers, O.C., O.B.E. (1899-1994) and is funded by Kinsmen and Kinettes across Canada. The program was established to promote, encourage and sponsor educational programs and activities, by providing financial assistance in the amount of $1000 to successful applicants in their quest for higher learning at a recognized post-secondary institution.
Eligibility:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Plan to register as a full-time student in the 2025-2026 school year at a recognized post-secondary institution (e.g. University, College, Trade School, Technical Institute)
- Demonstrate high ideals, community involvement and knowledge of Kin,
- Not have previously received a Kin Canada Bursary.
Deadline:
Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are open October 1, 2024 until February 1, 2025 at 11:59pm Pacific Time (firm deadline)

Alberta's government offers scholarships and awards to encourage and reward the excellence of Albertans in post-secondary study.
Scholarship areas include Academics, Athletics, Citizenship/Leadership, Indigenous, Language, and Technology.

On this website you will find useful list of scholarships in Alberta for graduating high school students.

ScholarshipsCanada.com is part of the SchoolFinder Group. The site has been helping students find scholarships since 1997. Their mission is to help students realize their dreams by making it possible for students to attend the school of their choice without being limited by the cost.
The website lists all relevant scholarships and bursaries free of charge. They try to update each listing annually and students are matched to scholarships and bursaries when they create an account.

Students in foundational learning or skills development programs may qualify for funding to cover education and living costs.
Foundational Learning Assistance helps you:
- Improve English language skills
- Complete academic upgrading for a high school diploma or post-secondary prerequisites
- Gain in-demand skills for employment
This monthly financial award is based on household financial need and covers:
- Educational costs: tuition, mandatory fees, student association fees, and books and supplies
- Living costs: food, clothing, personal needs, transportation, rent/mortgage, and utilities
Eligibility:
- Enrolled in an approved program for Foundational Learning Assistance
- 18 years of age or 16-17 under certain circumstances (see policy manual)
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or Protected person legally entitled to work and study in Canada
- Valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
Residency:
- Established Alberta address
- In Alberta at the time of acceptance into the program
- Border community residents are considered residents of their home postal code province/territory
Employment Status:
- Unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week
Over 40 educational providers in Alberta offer approved programs, including public post-secondary institutions, private career colleges, First Nations colleges, and non-profit organizations. Contact institutions directly to check program approval for Foundational Learning Assistance.
