A MESSAGE FROM EST JOHN RAINES
"Carry your card; don’t let your card carry you!"

When I was younger, my father used to say this is to my brothers and me who worked in construction. All of us had slightly different opinions on what that statement meant, but to me it meant helping out your brothers and sisters on the jobsite. If you see someone falling behind the pace, share a tip that will increase their efficiency. Or, if you notice someone struggling, share a trick of the trade that will help them succeed. That is what it means to be part of the Brotherhood.

By helping your fellow members, you are helping us deliver the quality and production our partnering contractors and their customers are looking for. As a member, you work hard for your money. When you spend it, you want your money’s worth in quality products and services! The same is true for our contractors. So, if you see someone struggling, help them out.

While my brothers and I all had slightly different interpretations of what my father meant, we all agreed on one thing. If you’re working hard on the job you are carrying your card!

Stay safe and healthy
