A physician's personal account of the Yom Kippur War.
The presentation includes a description of the historicalbackground of the Yom Kippur War and its effects on the Israeli society, as well as my own personal experiences and challenges as a battalion physician in the Sinai. I plan to speak on the physical and psychological traumas my soldiers had to cope with, the effect of religion on them, the cost of war in human life and suffering, the challenges of caring for wounded enemy soldiers, and the daily struggle for survival in the difficult war that threatened Israel’s existence.

We continue to deal with COVID 19 and our new reality, here is what is happening at Temple Ner Tamid for now.
THE TEMPLE BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
To keep the building clean and virus free, NO ONE
is to enter the Temple Building
unless you are authorized.
ALL OF OUR SERVICES WILL BE ONLINE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
On Monday, Governor Baker announced his proposal to reopen houses of worship. Currently, we have no plans to open TNT without being mindful of the health and wellbeing of our members.
At Temple Ner Tamid, we continue to review our next steps and strategies. Committees, medical advisors, clergy, and Temple leadership meet to discuss practical and safe options. Health concerns and possible options for today and the future are on our minds. We will implement a plan that will best serve TNT and will always consider the health and wellbeing of all our beloved Temple family members first.
Although we all miss being together in person, for the immediate future we will continue to operate remotely as we monitor health regulations. In time, we will begin to safely move staff back into the building and continue to plan out steps to be able to assemble our membership for programs and services. We will keep you posted as we roll out our planned timeline. Also, be on the lookout for updated information, surveys and other communication that will be available to answer your questions about our future plans to reopen.
Be safe and be well.

To Morah Susan and Morah Beth,
I love you so much. You taught me so much Hebrew school. Like I said in the zoom class the other day, you really helped me when I was crying and didn’t want to come in. You made me love Hebrew School. I am so happy I get to be with you next year too.
Love, Camden
To Morah Susan and Morah Beth,
We can’t thank you enough for helping Camden get through his first year of Hebrew School. It was a bit rough at the beginning but because you are who you are, he kept coming back and wanting to come back. Camden really enjoyed the year and was sad that it had to end virtually. You both did an amazing job under these circumstances.
To you and the rest of the teachers and staff at TNT, have a wonderful summer and we will see you next year. Hopefully in the temple.
