Home is the Key to Life's Little Moments

What Does Home Mean to You?
Home should be a place of refuge, a place to rest, and a place to make memories. While this definition of home seems simple, it is far from a reality for many families.
Here at Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County, our staff, volunteers, and service recipients are committed to bringing communities together.
We not only believe in fair housing, but we also believe that safe, healthy, and efficient homes create family stability, improved health, and educational outcomes, and that homeownership can be the foundation for economic security for families.
Your gifts and time help us continue to make that place of refuge, rest, and memories a reality for many families in New Castle County.

Build More. Serve More.
Be the Change.
After more than two years of working through a global pandemic, some of Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County staff (pictured right) traveled to Atlanta, GA for the 2022 Habitat for Humanity Affiliate Conference. This year's theme focused on innovation, social justice, resilience, transformation, and diversity, equity, & inclusion. We look forward to implementing valuable lessons learned on how we can Build more, Serve more, and Be the Change.

This month we welcomed several hardworking groups from Planet Fitness, Virginia Tech Alum, and Amazon to one of our construction sites. They helped our construction team by painting over drywall and installing the flooring in the lower level of one of our Habitat homes.
