Memorial Day 2021 ushered in the month of June, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Month. We often correlate soldiers and others who are on the front line of war with PTSD, but the reality is that anyone exposed to a traumatic or terrifying event – even kids – can develop PTSD. It can happen as a sudden, short-term response to an event or it can develop gradually and become chronic or persistent.
