Weekly Wednesday Update
Project EVERS is excited to announce that we are hosting a number of book studies for participating EVERS’ district staff to learn more about trauma-informed classrooms through discussing The Heart of Learning and Teaching: Compassion, Resiliency and Academic Success.
This book was developed in the state of Washington by teachers, for teachers, and has been used extensively throughout the United States since publication.
Each study will be an 8-week course and will be limited in size (9-12 participants) so everyone has a chance to discuss relevance and maximize their own learning. The study is intended to relate to and enhance each teacher’s classroom experience.
Books will be provided at no cost, and a $400 stipend will be paid at the completion of the study for those who attend each week’s discussion group. The stipend will be prorated for those who cannot attend all sessions.
NOTE: If any District or School would like to create its own study, please let us know. We’ll do our best to accommodate your schedules!
