Child Trauma Toolkit for Educators

It never hurts to be reminded of the basic facts of childhood trauma and the importance of trauma-informed, trauma-sensitive communities and schools. The National Child Traumatic Stress Network has a number of resources to provide school administrators, teachers, staff, and concerned parents with basic information about working with traumatized children in the school system.

FACT: One (1) out of every four (4) children attending school has been exposed to a traumatic event that can affect learning and/or behavior.
