MCDPH recently announced the recipients of nearly $6 million worth of funding to support community groups in addressing health disparities worsened by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eighteen community groups serving populations facing health disparities were selected based on proposals that stated how their projects would address health disparities. These projects focus on specific audiences, including children, adolescents, and caregivers, while others will address socioeconomic needs that impact health, including healthy food, transportation, and education.
