Antisemitism Then and Now: Advocacy, Allyship and Inclusion

Community members are invited to register and attend the Antisemitism Then and Now: Advocacy, Allyship and Inclusion session.
While many people are aware of the horrors of the Holocaust, the repeating pattern of antisemitism began far before the 1930s and continues to this day. How do we recognize and stop this dangerous behaviour? On November 5th, join the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC), one of Canada’s leading human rights and social advocacy institutions, in this exploration of the roots of antisemitism and comprehensive action plan to name, identify, and prevent its various forms. Antisemitism: Then and Now provides participants a keen insight into the Canadian Jewish reality, present and past.
Inspired by the legacy of Holocaust survivor and educator Simon Wiesenthal, FSWC works to build a more inclusive and respectful Canada by sharing the lessons of the Holocaust, advocating for human rights and combatting antisemitism and other forms of hate. FSWC is associated with the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, an organization connected to the United Nations, UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the Latin American Parliament.
In this comprehensive training session, find out how to invite others to become allies or how to be an ally in the fight against antisemitism as part of an overall commitment against hatred of vulnerable populations in our community and across the world.
