Active Communities Grant – Get Ready to Apply!

Got an idea to enhance sport, culture, or recreation in your community? The Active Communities Grant is here to help move your idea forward.


Applications open April 1, with a quick turnaround to the April 15 deadline, so now is the time to start planning.


Updated guidelines are now available, and we strongly encourage applicants to review them early, as there have been changes this year. Please note that while promotional materials may be circulating, applications will not be accepted until April 1.

Host a Ball Diamond and Sports Field Maintenance Course!

Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) is currently seeking a few communities to host the Ball Diamond and Sports Field Maintenance Course this upcoming season. This is a 1 day course and is held towards the end of May and/or early June. If your community is interested in hosting, or if you have any questions about hosting and the process, please contact Tim at thanna@spra.sk.ca by March 31.

Borrow a Regional Park Pass with Your Library Card!

Are you dreaming of summer yet? Start planning your adventures and exploring some of Saskatchewan’s beautiful regional parks!


Libraries across the province are once again offering Regional Park Pass lending through Saskatchewan libraries. With a valid library card, you can borrow a pass for a 7-day loan period between May 15 and September 8, giving you free access to participating regional parks.


It’s an easy and affordable way to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends this summer.
