The last few weeks were busy as we determined how to approach the priorities identified during the visioning meeting in April 2026. During the Executive meeting in May 2026, the projects below were approved and presented to the Working Group. All of these exciting improvement activities are now formally approved through the proper MSA channels to be started and also have a preliminary budget assigned to them.

Our Physician Navigator supports physician recruitment and helps new team members transition smoothly from first contact through onboarding. Lauren offers practical guidance on housing, the local community, hospital tours, and key workplace resources to help new hires feel prepared from day one.

Assistance with Individual Departmental Recruiting Lauren partners with departments to support physician recruitment and onboarding coordination. If your division is working with prospective medical staff, she can provide hands-on support throughout the process.

VJH Peer Support offers confidential, non-clinical, emotional support to physicians facing a range of work and life-related challenges. Whether it’s a casual chat over coffee, assistance finding suitable resources, or more formal assistance, our peer supporters share similar life experiences and understand the unique stressors faced by physicians. Empathetic, non-judgemental and trained to listen, our five peer supporters can be accessed through the on-line form. Access to peer supporters at other sites is also available.
