Advocating for Disability Rights

ILR is committed to advocating for our consumers and the disability community by embodying the Independent Living Movement. This time in our lives as the rights of individuals are being challenged in the courts, we have an opportunity to directly advocate for ourselves and each other.

March is National Nutrition Month

A diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables, low in sugar and saturated fats is great for sustaining a healthy body and brain!

Oregon Health Plan, beginning in January of this year has added a nutrition benefit to their services. Click the link below to access an information sheet with guidance on how to find out if you may have access to nutritional benefits through you health plan and what you qualify for.

If you aren't on OHP you may be on a private insurance plan or a Medicare advantage plan that also may have nutrition benefits. Calling the number on your card may help you to access all of the benefits available to you!
