What's Happening at the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games!

The first half of the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games has been filled with incredible effort, team spirit, and moments worth celebrating. Team Parkland Valley currently has three medals: gold in Male U14 Table Tennis Teams, bronze in Male U18 Table Tennis Teams, and bronze in Male Curling!


Congratulations to all our athletes!



The second half is just getting started, let’s keep cheering on our athletes and celebrating every moment of the 2026 Saskatchewan Winter Games! Remember to checkout the livestream if you are cheering from home.

Celebrate Your Volunteers This National Volunteer Week!

National Volunteer Week (April 19–25, 2026) is the perfect time to recognize the incredible people who give their time to your organization.


Through our Celebrating Volunteers initiative, you can nominate up to 10 volunteers to receive a certificate and a small token of appreciation, ready for you to present during Volunteer Week.


Supplies are limited, so be sure to submit your nominations before February 28, 2026.

Volunteer Leduc: A Case Study in Community Impact

In partnership with Southeast District, this free webinar explores Volunteer Leduc as a case study in strengthening community through volunteerism. Participants will learn practical ideas and tools inspired by initiatives such as Volunteer Fest, newcomer engagement, and corporate volunteering programs.


Together, we’ll explore four key principles: telling your story, creating connection, building capacity, and empowering volunteers.

KAIROS Blanket Exercise

The KAIROS Blanket Exercise offers a powerful, personal experience that encourages reflection, dialogue, and greater awareness.

International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

Join us for a free interactive learning experience as we recognize the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Together, we’ll explore race as a social construct, unpack key terminology, and examine how racism operates at structural, institutional, interpersonal, and internalized levels.


This session offers a respectful space for reflection and dialogue, while sharing practical strategies to help build more equitable and inclusive communities.

Finding Success in Fundraising

Strong communities rely on strong fundraising. Join us for this free practical webinar designed specifically with rural organizations in mind. Participants will explore the fundamentals of successful fundraising, including campaign ideas, building local partnerships, leveraging online platforms, and wise practices for grant funding.


Whether you’re new to fundraising or looking to strengthen your approach, this session will provide tools and strategies you can put into action right away.

Sask Lotteries Community Grant Program: 2027–2028 Funding Year

Municipalities and First Nation Bands are reminded to submit their applications for the Sask Lotteries Community Grant Program.


This annual funding supports local sport, culture, and recreation initiatives that strengthen community engagement and enhance quality of life across our district. Funding is allocated on a per capita basis, and each community establishes its own local application process and timelines for groups.


Application Deadline: February 28, 2026

Grant Period: April 1, 2027 – March 31, 2028
