Medical Staff dues support MSA special vents, like the fall family BBQ, spring gala and Mingle Jingle, scholarships, donations and food for departmental meetings.

The goal for next year is to streamline the collection of dues. Two ideas under consideration:

• allowing Medical Staff to securely set up automatic annual credit card payments;
• issuing annual invoices April 1st, with payment due by May 31st, rather than relying on email and newsletter reminders.

Sustainability Update,

Tired of getting spam faxes or automatic reports that just go in the confidential shredding? There’s a department that helps with this - the Health Technology and Environmental Sustainability Team! What can you do?

• Write your name on the fax/report, and reason why it’s a problem fax/report.
• Scan to email to print.less@interiorhealth.ca from the printer you get those faxes/reports and write your name on it.
• The team will work in the background to block the fax number, or will get back to you to confirm the report that will be turned off.

Share your knowledge with your colleagues. We are now planning our fall CME Grand Rounds schedule, beginning September 10^th, and invite medical professionals to present in their area of expertise. By learning from one another, we expand our knowledge across the many fields of medicine. Presenters receive a honourarium equivalent to 2.75 sessional time.

Sessions are held virtually through Teams and run from 8:00am-9:00am the second Thursday every month from September to June. Please contact Sharon Hughes-Geekie or Susan Cyr to arrange your presentation date.
