Miracle Mile, truly world-class
Time Out, a global media platform that inspires and enables readers to experience the best art, entertainment, food, drink, hotels and attractions in the world’s great cities, recently published their list of coolest streets in the world and the City Beautiful's Miracle Mile is on the list. Time Out operates in 328 cities across 58 countries, with a monthly audience of 137 million.

"This recognition is not only a testament to the vibrant culture and unique appeal of Miracle Mile but also an incredible opportunity to leverage this accolade to boost tourism, attract new business, and enhance the city's image on a global scale," said Belkys Perez, director of Economic Development.

Women's History Month
We conclude our Women's History Month series with a salute to female leadership and honor Alex Villoch, CEO of Baptist Health South Florida Foundation. Her unwavering commitment to the health and wellbeing of our community is unparalleled.

Small Business Grants
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Marino Cabrera invites small business owners in District 6 to apply for a Mom and Pop Small Business grant. Applicants may be eligible to receive up to $5,000 per business to purchase equipment, supplies, inventory, commercial liability insurance, security systems, advertising, marketing services, make minor renovations, salaries/wages, and rent or mortgage.

Streetlight summit
The Coral Gables Historic Preservation Board and Landmark Advisory Board will host a joint meeting to discuss the replacement of certain Florida Power & Light (FPL) streetlights on Tuesday, April 9, at 4 p.m. in the Police and Fire Headquarters, 2151 Salzedo St., Community Meeting Room B.

Members of the public are welcome to participate.

Show the earth some love
 this Earth Month
Clean up at a brisk pace at the fourth annual Plogging at Matheson Hammock event on Saturday, April 6 from
8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Plogging is a combination of jogging and plocka upp, Swedish for “to pick up.” Volunteers get the opportunity to plog through Matheson’s mangrove trails at their own pace. 

Make the most of a teacher planning day on Wednesday, April 10 from 10 a.m. to noon as Keep Coral Gables Beautiful volunteers remove invasive plants throughout the historic Pinewood Cemetery, 7301 Erwin Road.
Gallery Night and Giralda Live!
Enjoy the city's vibrant cultural scene this Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. when participating art venues open their doors for the monthly Gables Gallery Night.
 
Make sure to also stop by Giralda Plaza to experience the closing month of the Giralda Live! season with Pamir and La Pachanguisima from 7 to 11 p.m.
Voices from yesteryear
Join the latest installment of the Merrick House’s 100 Voices: Yesteryear Stories of Coral Gables series. Hear stories by third-generation Floridian William Lucien Keen on Sunday, April 7 at 4:30 p.m. at the Coral Gables Merrick House, 907 Coral Way. Keen will recount tales of wilderness treks, Miami High/Edison school rivalries, firefighting, and police work including one remarkable rescue.
Indulge in fashions and florals
Join the Coral Gables Garden Club for their Fashions & Florals event at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Ave., on Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m. The evening will feature avant-garde fashions, cocktails and a silent auction.
