MISSION

The mission of the Helping Hand Cemetery Club is to improve and to maintain the cemetery as a peaceful, dignified, safe, and beautiful place worthy of its historical recognition. HHC is the link to the legacy and heritage of the African-American community of Courtland, Virginia. In addition, HHCC's mission is to receive and to acquire additions to the cemetery and to sell lots and burial rights therein.

Dear Members,

Happy New Year

2021 was a very difficult year for all of us in many ways. Now in 2022, we do not know what the new year will bring, so we must prepare for the good and bad.

The Helping Hand Cemetery Club Board has made many improvements and plan to continue our efforts. Your support is needed now !!!!!!

We have a few members that are carrying the weight of the cemetery. Our biggest expense is grass cutting costs which has doubled since 2017. Trees are falling, leaves are piling up, fences are falling, and headstones breaking. We are handling issues as they happen.

Our fiscal year started January 1, 2022 and will end December 31, 2022. Your membership and donations are needed now !!!!!!!!

Let’s kick off the New Year with a Bang !!!!!!! Thanks for your continued support!

Life Time Membership - $500 (one time payment – no annual

membership dues). Your name will be posted in our kiosk if you wish to become a lifetime member and submit your payment before May 1st.

Annual Membership - $60
Friends of HHCC – Any amount, any time!
In kind service – work on special projects as determined by the HHCC
