Newsbreak, an online news and current affairs magazine used by more than 45 million people, recently published the list of top cities and small towns to call home in the Sunshine State. The list by HomeSnacks, a site that combines data from dozens of sources into bite-sized articles about places to live in the U.S., included Coral Gables as the eighth best.
In naming Coral Gables to the list they write, “The schools in Coral Gables are some of the most well regarded in the region and crime is an afterthought. Bake in the proximity to downtown Miami and it's easy to see from afar why it’s a great place to live."

In a recent blog post Dissig, a commercial real estate (CRE) technology platform company, looked at where in the U.S. are the best CRE investment opportunities. Cities were ranked using several criteria including economy, environmental, social and governance (ESG) opportunities. Coral Gables was one of 11 U.S. cities and the only one in Florida selected as being on the rise and one to watch.
Dissig wrote: “Coral Gables is known for its architecture and gorgeous botanic garden—but it’s also an excellent place for ESG investing. The University of Miami drives many green initiatives as well as the talent pool, and many of its well-known businesses are going green: The U.S. headquarters of Bacardi, Inc. received the EPA’s SmartWay Excellence Award for its supply chain practices and energy efficiency.”
