Have you been to in-person worship and asked, “Where’s the Organ?”
Some of you with keen eyes and ears have noticed that the organ has been missing these last few weeks. Thanks to a very special gift, the organ is getting much-needed upgrades. The first is a computer system to increase the reliability and functionality of the entire instrument. Next, all of the wiring inside the organ chamber and those that connect the console to the chamber is being replace, ensuring that the everything is up to code. Finally, 2 additional ranks (sounds) are being added. The first is a set of deep bass pipes from the previous organ that are still in back of the chamber. The second is a large solo reed – perfect for fanfares and those important wedding trumpet tunes. If all components arrive and the work is able to begin, we hope to have the organ ready for Christmas Eve!
