Enterprise Center Tips

Leveraging local events can be a powerful way for small businesses to gain visibility, attract new customers, and boost sales.

Here are some key strategies to make the most of events happening in your town:

1. Participate as a Vendor or Sponsor

  • Set up a booth or table to showcase your products/services.
  • Offer free samples, discounts, or giveaways to attract foot traffic.
  • Sponsor an event to get your business name on promotional materials.

2. Host a Special Event or Promotion

  • Organize an in-store or online promotion tied to the event.
  • Offer discounts for attendees or a limited-time deal.
  • Host a watch party, meet-and-greet, or themed workshop related to the event.

3. Use Social Media & Local Hashtags

  • Post event-related content before, during, and after the event.
  • Use event hashtags and tag the event’s official social media pages.
  • Share live updates, stories, or reels to engage your audience.

4. Collaborate with Other Businesses

  • Partner with nearby businesses to create cross-promotions.
  • Offer bundled deals or co-host an event-related experience.
  • Share each other’s promotions on social media for more exposure.

5. Engage with Event Attendees

  • Hand out branded freebies (stickers, tote bags, samples, etc.).
  • Collect email addresses through a giveaway or raffle.
  • Encourage attendees to follow you on social media for future deals.

6. Create Event-Specific Content

  • Write a blog or create a video about the event and how your business is involved.
  • Run a contest where customers share their event experiences using your product.
  • Offer exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage of the event.

7. Leverage Local Media & Influencers

  • Send a press release about your participation in the event.
  • Partner with local influencers to promote your brand’s presence.
  • Get featured in community newsletters or event guides.

8. Optimize for Local Search & Foot Traffic

  • Update your Google My Business profile with event-related specials.
  • Use location-based ads targeting event-goers.
  • Ensure your business is listed in local directories mentioning the event.
