9/11 Memorial Ceremony Recap

On September11, 2022, the City of Eastvale hosted a beautiful 9/11 Memorial Ceremony at Fire Station 27.

The ceremony began with opening remarks from Mayor Lorimore and led into a presentation of the colors and the Pledge of Allegiance from our local scout troops. We were also fortunate enough to have the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Madrigals sing the National Anthem and have a beautiful bagpipes tribute from Brennan Foley. Pastor Dennis Morales from Eastvale Calvary Chapel lead the invocation and Mayor Lorimore closed out the event with a moment of silence and a few heartfelt words for the first responders and civilians who risked their lives that day.

It was special to watch so many community members come together to reflect, mourn, and honor the innocent men, women, and children that lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We as a City would like to offer our sincerest support, respect, and gratitude, to the thousands of armed forces personnel that put their lives on the line that day and every day since.

A special thank you to the Eastvale City Council, the dignitaries, and the community members who made it out so early. We hope to see you next year for this special community event.

Please be aware that construction schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions, emergencies, and other acts of nature.

Adopt A Roadway Program

Did you know that in 2017 the City of Eastvale began its Adopt a Roadway Program to encourage individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to be continuously involved in the beautification of the city? Groups are required to clean their roadway at least once every two months and submit a report following their clean-ups. After a group completes two cleanups, a sign is placed at their section.

We’re proud to announce that not only have many groups joined the program this year, but many groups recently completed enough clean-ups to qualify for their roadway sign!

Please join me in congratulating the following groups for their dedication to the program!

  3. Builders Club
  4. Nigerians in Corona and Eastvale

The New Home Company Closes Escrow on Downtown Site

The City of Eastvale is excited to announce that The New Home Company closed escrow on what was once known as the Leal Ranch Property. The property will house the future Downtown Eastvale.

The City is overjoyed to announce that Phase I of construction will welcome our future Library, City Hall, Police Station, amphitheater, up to 495,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, up to 802 homes, and multiple parks.

In December of 2017, the City of Eastvale adopted the Leal Master Plan and certified the Program Environmental Impact Report (PEIR) to facilitate the development of the Leal property, which is approximately 158.6 acres in size. The Leal Master Plan establishes Eastvale's vision to create a dynamic, distinctive downtown with mixed-use, retail, office, hotel, housing, public spaces, and a civic center.

In 2021, the property owner entered escrow with the developer, The New Home Company, to purchase the land and develop the site as a comprehensive, integrated community. Earlier this year, the City Council approved a Development Agreement between the City of Eastvale and The New Home Company for a 20-year term. The development agreement states that 495,000 square feet of retail and commercial space will be City-controlled and operated.

Since its initial adoption in 2017, the City revised the plan multiple times to ensure the site will fit the community’s and City Council’s vision. The City feels The New Home Company is the perfect partner in this endeavor as they are committed to the growth and prosperity of the City and hope to create a magical destination for residents and guests throughout the region. The site will serve as an economic catalyst for the community and welcome new businesses and employment opportunities.

Mayor Clint Lorimore expressed his excitement for the future Downtown Eastvale saying he’s “eager to begin planning and cannot wait to see the opportunities created from this site.” As a destination location, Eastvale’s Downtown will be a place for the community and region to come together to enjoy new dining options, retail, entertainment, and our very own Civic Center!
