"Blessed are you, O Lord our God,
the Shepherd of Israel,
their pillar of cloud by day,
their pillar of fire by night.
In these forty days
you lead us into the desert of repentance
that in this pilgrimage of prayer
we might learn to be your people once more.
In fasting and service
you bring us back to your heart.
You open our eyes to your presence in the world and you free our hands
to lead others to the wonders of your grace.
Be with us in these journey days,
for without you we are lost and will perish.
To you alone be dominion and glory,
forever and ever. Amen."

Over 60 Presbyterian Women from around Foothills gathered on February 22 at the Clemson Outdoor Lab & Retreat Center. The theme for the day was “One Voice, Big Difference.” The morning began with a keynote from Rev. Patricia (Trisha) Tull about her work with God’s Green Resourceful Earth of the Africa Inland Church and the Nyakach Regional Health Center, both located in Kisumu, Kenya. After hearing Trisha’s inspiring story, an offering of $1000 was collected to support the good work of the church in Kenya.

Changes to World Mission, PCUSA
Talking Points + FAQ’s Regarding Changes to World Mission
February 2025
What is happening?
The Interim Unified Agency (IUA) is embracing a new and evolving approach to PC(USA)’s global ministry. This transition moves from a model centered on “mission co-workers” to a structure where “global ecumenical liaisons” will facilitate relationships between our global partners and the congregations, networks, and mid councils of the PC(USA). This shift is part of an intentional effort to create a sustainable model for global ministry that prioritizes global partner leadership.
As part of this transition the World Mission Ministry area will conclude and the new expression of global ecumenical engagement will be housed within the Office of the Stated Clerk and Executive Director of the Interim Unified Agency (IUA). This joins the ecclesial and programmatic ministry functions of the church into one work area.

These talking points were written by Interim Unified Agency leadership in collaboration with staff from the World Mission Directors Office. For questions or concerns, please reach out to feedback@pcusa.org. A dedicated team is available to respond.
