AMID COVID-19 CONCERNS
The YWCA GREATER LOS ANGELES STANDS READY TO SERVE OUR COMMUNITY!

March 17, 2020

Dear YWCA Greater Los Angeles Friends, Community and Partners:

As the corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to have an increased impact on communities, the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles believes that it is crucial to roll out precautionary measures consistent with local, and state laws to ensure the safety of our staff, members and the community we serve.

To respond to the challenge of this threat, we have instituted precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our staff and the community we proudly serve. To this end, effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the YWCA GLA will temporarily suspend all child care programs until further notice. In addition, our Executive Office and satellite locations will engage in alternative staffing solutions, which include telecommuting work to the extent possible, practicing social distancing, vigorous hand washing and maintaining sanitary conditions.

Amid global concerns, we are closely monitoring developments surrounding the spread of corona virus in our local communities and will keep you apprised of any measures that are taken in response to this critical time in history. Our ultimate goal is to continue to serve our mission and at the same time, ensure the safety of our staff and customers.

Thank you and let’s be vigilant about helping to keep each other safe.

Sincerely,
Faye Washington
