Dear CPWC members,
November is the perfect month for us to express our thanks and gratitude as we enter the month of Thanksgiving. One of the most important things the CPWC does is connect neighbors to each other and provide support to one another. We are so grateful for the CPWC and all the friendships we have made. We are especially thankful for our board and all the interest leaders who give so much of their time to our club.
We hope each of you has enjoyed many of the special programs and interest groups the CPWC has offered this Fall. Both the Daytime Program and the Evening Program were held the third week of October. Thank you Pat Iaffaldano for hosting the evening program with speaker Jenny Long, who talked about Potted Perennials. Many thanks to Sandy Ramirez, who hosted the Daytime Program featuring Bonita Prigmire, who shared a variety of scarf sizes and ways to tie them. One of Sandy’s friends who handmakes scarves also joined us and brought several of them to sell. She donated some of the proceeds to Porch Marietta, CPWC’s charity for this year.
Many thanks to Lynn Thompson, Missy Malmberg, and all of their volunteers who made the Halloween Spooktacular Party a great success. We would also like to thank those CPWC ladies who donated gift cards, made brownies and cookies, and gave of their time to our community.
With gratitude for CPWC and Happy Thanksgiving!
Your CPWC Co-Presidents,
Susan Fulkerson and Martha Altieri

Supported by East Cobb City Lifestyle, New York Butcher Shoppe East Cobb (located in the Avenue East Cobb) will host a day-long “Chattahoochee Plantation Women’s Club Day of Charity“ on November 2, 2023. For the entire day, 10% of purchases by CPWC members, family and friends will support our Club's chosen charity for the year -- PORCH Marietta. Click here for more details.
**********
The next food drive for PORCH Marietta will be on Thursday, November 2 at 10 AM at Sawyer Road Elementary. The pantry needs cereal, instant grits, pancake mix (complete mix - just add water), pancake syrup, canned fruit, small bottles of cooking oil, 1 or 2-pound bags of white rice, Hot cocoa packets - small boxes to give to more families are better than boxes of 50 packets.
If any donors prefer to shop online, PORCH Marietta's Amazon registry is updated with items for November. Items will be shipped directly to a PORCH coordinator who will take them to the food pantry.
**********
Volunteers are needed each month to help with collecting, sorting, and distributing food donations. If you can volunteer to help, email them at marietta@porchcommunities.org.

Last month I had the pleasure of teaching our first women's club painting and craft session. It was my pleasure to provide the paint and canvases for each person in that first class, but going forward there will be a charge of $10 per person for the painting supplies that I will provide. Of course, it will continue to give CPWC members their monthly lessons for free. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the next painting class session at my home at 4503 Chattahoochee Plantation Dr., Tuesday, November 7 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Please RSVP by November 4 via text message.
Thank you,
