Welcome back CPWC members to a new and exciting season of fun and activities for the 2025-2026 season.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at our New Neighbor Welcome First Friday Event on September 5th at the home of Missy and Kirk Malmberg. We will welcome our new neighbors and gather for our first “First Friday” of the year. We hope to welcome many of our new neighbors into our organization of friends and neighbors. If you have a new neighbor in your community, please bring them along to this great event.
For those of you who have already renewed your membership, we thank you. For those of you who are planning to do so, please renew your membership as soon as possible. We count on those renewals/new memberships to provide the necessary resources which drive our ability to fund all the wonderful daytime and evening programming throughout the year. Check our monthly newsletters, our website or Facebook to keep up with all the dates and locations of these activities.
We are looking forward to our Opening Luncheon on September 12th at Atlanta Country Club. Registration for this event is open and please register to attend if you have not done so already.
TongSuk Vignone and Nina Hickox, Charity Co-Chairs for this year, introduced several great charities at our most recent Board meeting. The charity selected for this season is “Sunshine on a Ranney Day” (SOARD). Representatives from this organization will speak at our opening luncheon about all the ways they lift up our community,
We hope you are enjoying a great start to Fall, and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
Your Co-Presidents,
Sterling Lanken and Angela Boardman

We are very excited to report that a generous $8,000 donation to the McFarlane Future Fund has put us at $75,000 toward our goal of $100,000. We have been striving to reach that goal to secure an endowment for the Park. No funds will be taken from the $100,000 Future Fund, but each year thereafter, the Park will be able to withdraw 80% of the increase to help fund general expenses.
New McFarlane Notecards will be introduced at the opening CPWC luncheon. Eight cards with envelopes for $15. Look for the McFarlane table or Lynn Thompson with a basket of card packets. If you would like to support the park, this is a wonderful way to help.
Our fundraiser will be April 25 & 26th, 2026 Sponsored by the CPWC & CPCA.
For more information, you can go to our NEW WEBSITE!, www.mcfarlanenaturepark.com and also on CPWC's Facebook page.
