From the Co-Presidents

Dear Members,

We cannot wait to see you soon at one of our fall events and hear all about your summer adventures. Your board, program chairs and interest group leaders are planning an amazing year with lots of things you won't want to miss. Angela and I are grateful to be a part of this special group and we have chosen this year's theme of Serenity. We hope you find some peace as school starts again and we all return to the busy rhythms of fall in Atlanta.

Check this monthly newsletter, the event-specific emails, our Facebook group and our website to stay informed about all we have to offer. Our website and Facebook group also have wonderful photos from our activities.

This year The Newcomers Committee is hosting our annual Newcomers Welcome Party on Friday, September 5th from 6:30 to 9:30 PM at the home of Missy Malmberg, 4530 Ponte Vedra Drive. This event will also be our inaugural First Friday and it is a casual, couples or singles event. If anyone has moved into your neighborhood this past year, please introduce yourself and encourage them to attend the Newcomers Welcome Party. Please send the name, address and/or contact information to Dawn Wadsworth.

We would love to see you at our Opening Luncheon on Friday, September 12 at Atlanta Country Club from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. We are featuring a "Serenity Through Style" Fashion Show by Pineapple Porch and a raffle by Masina Diamonds. Please rsvp by September 5th and email Amy McConnell with any questions.

Please consider renewing your Chattahoochee Plantation Women’s Club membership and reach out to former members who may be interested in renewing their membership. Your membership and support are crucial to our organization and very much appreciated. All the details about membership renewal are available on our website.

CPWC Opening Luncheon

We invite you to our Opening Luncheon to introduce our Serenity theme for 2025-2026. Serenity with Style will feature our own members modeling outfits from Pineapple Porch. We will also have a Jewelry Display and a raffle provided by Masina Diamonds. Start the year off with us on September 12.

Newcomer's Party and First Friday

The Newcomer's Party and First Friday are combined this year to give our new residents a Big Welcome!

Friday, September 5th from 6:30-9:30 Missy and Kirk Malmberg's home

If you know any new neighbors that moved in since last summer, please let Dawn know their names and addresses. We are working on invitations now.

Please bring any new neighbors or existing neighbors that are interested in joining the CPWC.

Remember to bring your favorite appetizer/food item and beverage. (Football will be on for any big fans that can't miss the games)

Evening Group

The CPWC Evening group will not meet in August. We look forward to seeing everyone at our kickoff on September 16, with a theme of "Serenity Now". Details will be in next month's newsletter.

Canasta Interest Group

Hand & Foot Canasta tries to meet the second Tuesday of the month. August 12th, September 9th, October 14th, November 18th (this is the 3rd Tuesday), and December 9th. Time is generally 1:00 - 4:00 It’s not necessary to know how to play. We will teach you as we play. We enjoy the fellowship with each other as much as playing the game together. Come and enjoy fun and snacks! Even if you can’t come every month, please come as often as you can.

I will post where we will play each month in a separate email.

The planning for the 2025-2026 season for CPWC Garden Club is underway! The Gardening Interest Group will not meet in August, but save the date for our first gathering

on Monday, October 6th from 3:30-5:30 pm.
