Need Home Improvements?

The Town of Orleans and The Town of Paoli are sponsoring an application to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis for the purpose of an owner-occupied housing rehabilitation grant through the affordable housing program.


The Grant, if awarded, will provide rehabilitation on houses owned by low-and moderate-income persons living within the corporate limits of Paoli and of Orleans. To be eligible you must own the house, be living in the house, contract sales are not eligible, and singlewide trailers are not eligible. The property cannot be located in a 100 year flood plain. The housing unit must be covered by homeowner's insurance and property taxes and mortgages must be current.

Project Playoli


OCEDP got hands-on helping PLAYoli come to life!

Community members and area businesses came together to volunteer their time and efforts to build the new $400,000+ playground in Paoli.


A huge thank you to Electricom for all of their hard work and efforts in bringing this project to life!


There will be a tool Auction Saturday, June 26th, at 10 A.M.


The playground is scheduled to open Monday June 28th.

Copper Harvest is Coming to Town!

This operation is a woman owned and operated business offering locally raised and butchered meats.


Copper Harvest will be providing Sanders and Merkley deli meats and cheeses. In addition they will also provide home grown Amish produce and other merchandise.

IRHA names Yolanda Yoder, MD as its 2021 “Doc Hollywood”


The Indiana Rural Health Association named a Paoli rural legend as its statewide 2021 "Doc Hollywood" at the recent IRHA annual conference.

Dr. Yolanda Yoder, a self-effacing Orange County diminutive powerhouse and chief medical director for the four-county Southern Indiana Community Healthcare group, received the award in a public recognition ceremony on June 16th.


Aside from the outstanding work to provide high quality health care throughout her four rural county service area, Dr. Yoder also has established a community organization, Thrive Orange County, to address critical adverse childhood issues. This program is so important to our community and the development of the youth here in Orange County.

Radius- Economic Development for Community Leadership Program


OCEDP staff was excited to attend The 2021 Radius Economic Development for Community Leadership Program held at the French Lick Resort June 2021.

The lineup of speakers and networking opportunities provided will help strengthen Economic Development efforts in the entire Radius Region.
