Program Spotlight:
Quarter 2 Cultural Grants
In March of this year, the NAF Cultural Committee awarded 8 cultural grants to artists across the US and Netherlands, for total funding of around $30,000. This includes five musical groups/performers, an industry that has been greatly disrupted by the pandemic. We are happy to see them perform again across our two countries, as well as the other 3 grantees who specialize in performance art, design, and film. Congratulations to all awardees! Just before the reception, Princess Margriet of the Netherlands and Professor Pieter Van Vollenhoven were presented with a unique copy of the book NAF100, a Century of Bridging Worlds, in gratitude for over 40 years of patronage of the organization.
The reception, attended by Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf and State Secretary Gunay Uslu, welcomed many recipients of NAF Awards over the years, along with current and former diplomats, politicians, captains of industry, NAF Friends Funds Partners, sponsors, alumni of the various exchange programs and friends of the NAF.
