Stone Gate Communication

In an effort to implement consistent communications among the Board, the Residents, and the Management Team; please be aware that S-G Owners Association will be utilizing the online platform TOWNSQ as its preferred method of communication. As such, Residents are being directed to submit online REQUESTS for assistance with community matters on TownSq instead of calling or emailing.

Residents can also upload their ACC Applications directly on TOWNSQ under the ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW menu and view financial reports and meeting minutes under the DOCUMENTS menu.

Lake Management:

During today's maintenance visit, the following was conducted: The crew collected trash and debris from all lakes and shorelines on the Stone Gate side of the community.

Entry Water Features: The crew cleaned all the debris baskets. We also corrected an issue with high pressure on the East feature by adjusting the flow valves.

Island Shores (Lake 1): The fountain is running and flowing properly. The lights and timers are functional and accurate. We recorded the well meter reading.

Island Shores (Lake 2): The fountain is running properly. The lights and timers are functional, the outfall was cleared of blockages. The water level is normal.

Bluff Springs (Lake 3): The fountain is running properly. The lights and timers are functional. The water level is about a foot low, so we turned the well on to refill the lake.

Bluff Springs (Lake 4): The fountain is running and flowing properly. The lights and timers are functional and accurate. The outfall is clear of debris.

Harmony Springs: The back fountain is still down due to an underground electrical line that was cut during some utility boring. Centerpoint disconnected the meter because the line was still live during the incident and will return to restore the meter once the line has been repaired. The Entry fountain is running properly. The lights and timers are functional and accurate. We recorded the well meter reading. The outfall is clear of debris.

Danbury Bridge: All three fountains are running and flowing properly. The lights and timers are functional and accurate. We cleared the outfall of blockages.

Additionally, we found fountain #4 in Switchback tripped as we drove through at the end of maintenance. We reset it and will continue to monitor its functionality for additional issues. All other fountains on the Canyon Lakes side of the community were running when we drove through at the end of today's visit.

Heron Egret Birds: Tips for Preventative Maintenance

Hundreds of Egrets begin migrating around this time of year in search of a favorable nesting area to form their rookery. History shows that these birds appear to choose the same location each year. When establishing a nest, Egrets are drawn to large, well-established trees, with dense networks of limbs conducive for protection when nesting.

First and foremost, to respect and be aware of: Egrets are federally protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. What does this mean? By law, none of these birds can be killed, or their nests disturbed once they have eggs or young. It is unlawful to do anything to these birds once an egg is in the nest.

Residents can purchase items to help discourage nesting, such as air horns, bright streamers to hang in trees, water nozzles and "scare eye balloons," which are common tools used to scare away birds.
