Our mission: to be a sign of Christ’s love for the world.

Merry Christmas From The Dilworth Staff
We would like to take a moment to wish you a very Merry Christmas. During this season, we will be celebrating Hope, Peace, Love, and Joy; We pray that all four of these would fill your life in every way this Christmas and beyond. We are grateful to God. This Christmas, as in all previous years, we celebrate “Immanuel” (God with us). Without Christ’s presence among us, we would be lost. Through God’s presence working within us, we are being healed, transformed, reconciled, and made whole. We appreciate the church's generosity for the special love offering we received. We pray you have a fantastic Christmas.

Don't Forget Your Dilworth Church Family In Your Year-End Giving
As you consider any last-minute charitable giving Dilworth Church is always a great place with whom to share. December is usually our best giving month, but because of Covid-19, and no mass gathering worship or fellowship, our December giving is down. Please consider helping out so that we end the year with a positive income that will help us minister in the coming months.

And a gentle reminder to you that if you have not made a financial commitment for 2021, we would love to hear from you. You may email Gary Bost to make that confidential faithful giving pledge. Your faithful estimate of giving helps us know what ministry we can continue or begin anew in the coming year.
Thank you to all who help Dilworth Church “be a sign of Christ’s love for the world.”

Faithfully, Pastor Michelle

In Memoriam
We extend our Christian love and deepest sympathy to the Hollowell Family. Shella Miles Strother Hollowell, 81, died December 10, 2020, in Charlotte, N.C. She was born August 25, 1939, in Kinston, N.C. Shella and her husband Bill came to Charlotte in 1968 or so and joined the church shortly after - felt like it was home to them. They have three children, Marian, Miles, and Melanie, and all grew up at Dilworth. Miles is still a member. Bill said Dilworth will always be home for them. If you would like more information please click on Shella's obituary.
Amplify Newsletter
The Amplify newsletter will continue to be shared via This Week at Dilworth and social media posts, but will no longer be sent by a congregation-wide email blast. If you would like to continue to receive the weekly Amplify newsletter directly to your email please email Aisha Newton. If you are interested in learning more about the Amplify team, please reach out to Pastor Cade with questions and to become a part of this important ministry.
Altar Flowers
If you want to see these beautiful arrangements, make sure you watch the Worship service on Facebook Live. In addition to the calendar on Aisha’s office door, we’ve created a Sign-Up Genius to make it super easy to reserve a date to place flowers on the altar. Flowers on the altar make our worship more beautiful and alive. If you would like to use the church’s florist, The Blossom Shop, Aisha will be happy to call in the order for you. The standard seasonal arrangement they provide is $50 plus tax but will enhance it with specific flower and color requests for an additional cost. You can also bring in an arrangement from your garden, a market, or wherever you want to get them. We’ve got lots of available dates, so click here to sign-up for 2021, and let’s bring some of the beauty of God’s creation into our worship in the Sanctuary.
We Can't Do It Without You
Yes, we need YOUR HELP in order to provide both Live-stream and SAFE in-person worship. Would you consider helping in one of the following ways?

USHERS – let Pastor Cade know. He will get you trained & scheduled.

TECH/MEDIA – let Pastor Michelle OR Ashton Sherrin know, and you too will be trained and scheduled as soon as our new equipment is ready to roll. Our professional tech person will train folks on the sound/camera and computer.  YOUTH and ADULTS are invited and encouraged to lend a hand in a socially distanced, safe way.
Disciple Bible Study
Join Disciple Bible Study 1 in the New Year as they begin their 12-week study on the New Testament. This group will meet on Monday nights at 6:30 via Google Meet beginning on January 4th. Please reach out to Pastor Cade for more information about this opportunity.
Room in the Inn
While we will not be hosting guests for Room in the Inn this year, there are still opportunities to participate in this important ministry! This year we are baking cookies and providing bagged lunches to the guests who will be staying at a few centralized locations. See the Sign-Up Genius link and sign up to provide cookies, lunch items, assemble lunch bags, or deliver the finished products.  Also, be sure to sign up for other Mission Moments this winter. Please reach out to Pastor Cade with any questions.
