Our mission: to be a sign of Christ’s love for the world.
Make plans to join us this Sunday morning at 9 am for our live-streamed service in the Sanctuary. Seating will be allowed on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be done by the ushers to maintain social distancing. Masks must be worn the entire time and all safety precautions will be taken. UNLESS YOU NEED THE ELEVATOR we request that everyone use the main entrance to the sanctuary on East Blvd.

Annual Christmas Staff Love Offering
In a year that has been like no other, there is one thing that we have been able to count on — the faithful staff of Dilworth Church. They have risen to the challenge that this year has brought over and over, with creativity, flexibility, and love, and we invite everyone in our Dilworth Church family to show your appreciation and support by contributing to our annual Christmas staff love offering. Gifts made by check or our website should be designated as 2020 LOVE OFFERING. We will accept contributions through Friday, December 18th. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
'Tis the Season . . . for Faithful Giving
As we come to the end of 2020, we want to thank you for your generous gifts throughout the year that supports the ministries of Dilworth United Methodist Church! Our church body has a strong history of special year-end giving that helps us meet current needs and empowers us to provide ongoing and new ministry in the coming year. As you wind up 2020, we encourage you to consider Dilworth; the stress of the pandemic has impacted the church finances and any gifts would be much appreciated. While realizing that some in our family have been affected financially by Covid-19, we ask that those who haven't been to catch up on your pledge commitment. And always remember, IF you have been affected by the pandemic, we are here for you and would love to hear from you and pray for you.  For any giving to be credited to 2020 please note that it must be postmarked no later than December 31st.

We are grateful for those who faithfully give. And speaking of faithful giving . . . yep, we are in the midst of our 2021 stewardship drive.  We rely on faithful giving from people like you and your commitment card gives us guidance for the upcoming budget. Brochures with attached commitment cards have been mailed out and we also have extra ones here at the church. Please prayerfully consider your faithful giving in 2021 just as God IS faithful to you. You can also access that card here. You may mail in or drop off the commitment cards OR simply email your response to Gary Bost. We will be collecting those through December. Let's be faithful disciples in the flesh.

Faithfully, Pastor Michelle

Member Spotlight
Introducing Dilworth UMC's newest members Alex Loftin and Elizabeth Walker. Both locals of the Charlotte area, Alex is from Denver, NC, and Elizabeth is from Rock Hill, SC. Alex went to UNC Asheville, then transferred and graduated from Presbyterian College in 2011, getting his degree in Business (and baseball). Elizabeth graduated from Johnson and Wales Charlotte in 2013, getting her degree in Sports/Entertainment/Event Management. Alex started a Janitorial Supply company during his baseball offseasons after college and now focuses on his business full time. Elizabeth works in Event Planning and Property Management and, on the side, nannies. During their downtime, you can find this couple hanging out with their miniature Australian Shepherd Dixie, attending football games, and being with friends and family. They are so excited to be a part of the Dilworth family!

Room in the Inn
While we will not be hosting guests for Room in the Inn this year, there are still opportunities to participate in this important ministry! This year we are baking cookies and providing bagged lunches to the guests who will be staying at a few centralized locations. See the Sign-Up Genius link and sign up to provide cookies, lunch items, assemble lunch bags, or deliver the finished products.  Also, be sure to sign up for other Mission Moments this winter. Please reach out to Pastor Cade with any questions.
Altar Flowers
Last week's flowers were given in honor of Nash & Kelly Morris’ 9th wedding anniversary by their parent's Steve & Nancy Morris. If you want to see these beautiful arrangements, make sure you watch the Worship service on Facebook Live. In addition to the calendar on Aisha’s office door, we’ve created a Sign-Up Genius to make it super easy to reserve a date to place flowers on the altar. Flowers on the altar make our worship more beautiful and alive. If you would like to use the church’s florist, The Blossom Shop, Aisha will be happy to call in the order for you. The standard seasonal arrangement they provide is $50 plus tax but will enhance it with specific flower and color requests for an additional cost. You can also bring in an arrangement from your garden, a market, or wherever you want to get them. We’ve got lots of available dates, so click here to sign-up for 2021, and let’s bring some of the beauty of God’s creation into our worship in the Sanctuary.
