It's time for ArtsVision Summer Camp!

July 10th - July 21st - 8AM-4PM

for the Performing and Visual Arts

Youth in grades 3rd-10th are invited to come experience

the magic of The Wiz, Jr!

Join Dorothy and her friends as they "Ease on Down the Road" to meet the All Powerful Wizard of OZ! Our last production of The Wiz, Jr. (2020) was virtual. When asked what production campers would like to do this year, the students said, "Let's do The Wiz, Jr." LIVE! So, here we go! In person auditions will be, Saturday, June 24th at St. Paul UMC.


Daily, Campers will be provided breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. Campers will be able to choose a specialty class like: Ukulele, Dance, Costuming, Acting, Voice, Cultural Drumming, and Tech Theater! There is early drop off and late pick up available.

What is ArtsVision Saturday Kids?

FREE arts experiences and activities

HOURS: Saturdays from 12-2PM

LOCATION: St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1816 Routh Street, Dallas, 75204

AGES: Kindergarten thru 10TH Grade


SATURDAY KIDS ARTS ACTIVITIES:

  • June 10 - Drumming & Dance
  • June 17 - Acting & Voice (singing)
  • June 24 - Audition Workshop**
  • July 8 - Costuming & Visual Arts


** Must be registered for Camp to attend. You may also register onsite. See info below.

Once you are registered, join us for

The Wiz, Jr. Audition Workshop

Saturday, June 24th

9:00AM - 3:00PM

(Audition packets provided prior to workshop)

This will be a Vocal, Acting, and Dance Workshop to prepare students for their

formal audition for lead and chorus roles.

Campers will workshop until 12noon

and then break for lunch.

We will have a Tech Workshop for students who want to work backstage from 9-12pm


Auditions will be held from 1pm-3pm

(Techies may stay and help with auditions)



Cast Lists will be posted Sunday, June 25

Everyone who auditions will get a part. All students will leave with their script in hand.

For campers who do not attend the formal auditions, your online audition submission will be considered. Signed up late? You will be auditioned on the first day of camp for any roles that are available. Eveyone who wants to be on stage will get a part.
