Invitation from Pastor Julie...
Jeff and I would be delighted to have you join us as we celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 21st.
We realize this falls on Father’s Day weekend, and we completely understand if you already have special plans with your family. We also know it is about a three-hour drive each way, and unfortunately, we are not able to provide overnight accommodations. Even so, if you are able to come, it would mean a great deal to us to share this special day with you. Just in case, here is the address of the Earl S. Nelson Park where we will be celebrating: 8622 Park Way Ln, Larsen, WI 54947
| | | | | The 227th General Assembly of the PC(USA) is almost upon us. Click HERE to view a helpful Guide to see what overtures will be before the Assembly and to follow their work as it unfolds. The General Assembly is, in the fullest sense, a gathering of sisters and brothers in Christ from across the PC(USA), chosen by their presbyteries to prayerfully discern and carry out the work of the church. Because we are part of this larger body, the decisions they make matter to us and shape our life together in faith. Please keep these sisters and brothers in your prayers during this time of discernment and decision making. | | | | |
Rev. Dr. Craig Howard's Blog
My daily Bible reading recently took me through Romans. In the final chapter, Paul offers greetings and thanks to the many people who supported his ministry. Then I came across a verse that stopped me in my tracks:
“I, Tertius, the writer of this letter, greet you in the Lord” (Romans 16:22). Read more...

When you come to the end of Dr. Howard’s article, I invite you to pause and think of the beloved people who quietly and faithfully serve our congregation behind the scenes. Their kindness and devotion to God bless our COTC family in countless ways.
Do you know these treasured people… (and I’m not talking about me, the pastor)
- who work in the closet, folding, sorting, handing out items, and doing so much more,
- who care for our property in ways we often do not think about unless something goes wrong,
- who clean, sweep, wash dishes, and tend to the refrigerator,
- who weed the garden,
- who make phone calls, send cards, and check in on members,
- who notice practical needs and quietly meet them before anyone asks,
- who go the extra mile to help our church family feel warm and welcoming, and
- who quietly show up whenever there is work to be done?
These are often the very people who need to hear a kind word of thanks. A simple expression of appreciation can lift a heart, renew strength, and remind someone their faithful service deeply matters and is truly seen. Their quiet acts of care are a beautiful gift of grace for our congregation.
Thanks for listening!
