The 227th General Assembly of the PC(USA) is almost upon us. Click HERE to view a helpful Guide to see what overtures will be before the Assembly and to follow their work as it unfolds. The General Assembly is, in the fullest sense, a gathering of sisters and brothers in Christ from across the PC(USA), chosen by their presbyteries to prayerfully discern and carry out the work of the church. Because we are part of this larger body, the decisions they make matter to us and shape our life together in faith. Please keep these sisters and brothers in your prayers during this time of discernment and decision making.

At the recent assembly, Spencer Lungaard, pastor at The Village Church in Northbrook, shared an opportunity for members of the presbytery to participate in a pilgrimage to the Grand Canyon. For the past seven years, Spencer has led groups to national parks to experience the divine through nature, with the hope of transforming spirits and changing lives. Jeff and I would be delighted to have you join us as we celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 21st.

We realize this falls on Father’s Day weekend, and we completely understand if you already have special plans with your family. We also know it is about a three-hour drive each way, and unfortunately, we are not able to provide overnight accommodations. Even so, if you are able to come, it would mean a great deal to us to share this special day with you.

Coffee & Conversation with Pastor Julie

This is a relaxed time to gather over coffee to share conversation and enjoy each other’s company. These gatherings will be held at COTC about twice a month on Thursdays at 10 am. Next meeting: June 11

Donate to our Food Pantry

On the first Sunday of each month we collect items for the Schaumburg Food Pantry. The most common needed food pantry items are: canned meats, canned pasta, soup, juice, snacks & crackers, paper goods, tomato products, hygiene products & baking items.
