How often do Confederation College alumni look back to see exactly where their diploma took them? When we are students, we see going to college and taking courses and writing exams as all part of getting a job. Then, maybe, we start realizing it’s more about getting a career.

Confederation, Humber and Seneca Partner to Promote Indigenous Leadership through Proposed New Degree Program

Thunder Bay and Toronto, Ontario - June 29, 2021 – Confederation College, Humber College and Seneca are collaborating to develop an Indigenous Leadership degree program.

The inspiration for the new program is the institutions’ collective response to the continued, critical need to advance Indigenous learning and contribute to a process of decolonization and reconciliation. Designed to restore and revitalize customary Indigenous leadership, the proposed degree program will prepare graduates to build capacity in community, economic, social and cultural development.
Confederation College Takes Important Next Step on Decolonization Journey
THUNDER BAY, ON, June 21, 2021 – Confederation College took an important next step in its decolonization journey with the release of its Decolonization Report on National Indigenous Peoples Day. The report details how the College will address the recommendations from its Systemic Racism Review, and includes a work plan for implementation. Read More
2100 New Alumni!
THUNDER BAY, ON, June 4, 2021 – Through a Virtual Convocation ceremony held Friday, Confederation College celebrated over 2100 graduates from the Class of 2021 who received certificates, diplomas and advanced diplomas. Beekeeper generates plenty of buzz!

Willow Crow is an Indigenous entrepreneur who's creating a buzz in her home community. Crow, a graduate of Confederation College, and her brother were hired last year as beekeepers at the Oji-Bee Honey Co., based in Naotkamegwanning First Nation, near Sioux Narrows. In an interview with CBC News, she said the business is gaining traction and the pair plan to buy shares in the company. They hope to sell most of their honey locally and may also sell some online.
