There is a sign up on the welcome desk if you're interested in being contacted about helping lead the next steps of implementing our goals for the next 3-5 years.
CtK Delegates & Annual Report

Thank you for the great attendance at our Annual meeting last Sunday. We are still looking for delegates for the following meetings:

  • 2 delegates for Crossways Camping Ministry on Saturday, March 14, 2020, Registration at 9am, Meeting 10:00am - 12:30pm with lunch to follow at St. Mark's Lutheran Church 140 S Green Bay Rd in Neenah.

  • 1 delegate for Lutheran Campus Ministry - UW Oshkosh on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at All Saints Lutheran Church 1072 Honey Creek Rd in Oshkosh.

  • 2 delegates for FVL Homes Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 25, 2020, Registration at 8:30am at Fox Valley Lutheran Homes, Linwood Commons 425 N Linwood Ave in Appleton.

The sign-up for these meetings is on the welcome desk. If you haven’t received a copy of the CtK Annual Report, they are available there, as well.
A Huge Thank You!

We would like to thank all of the people that made the Chili Cook-off/CtK Got’s Talent Show night possible especially Heather & Susie, along with the CtK's Got Talent Planning Committee: Ralph & Karen Young, Tina Kopiske, Rhonda Oestreich, Jim Edmondson, Selah Alft; Our MC's: Jeff Otto, & Twinkle Toes (Denise Barnaal), our Technical Crew: Brent Shuettpelz & Paul Girod, all of the talent acts, Brad Tumas for making the extra chili and those that participated in the Chili Cook-off, and the 2020 Mission Trip participants. Without you, this night wouldn't have been a success. The total raised for the Mission Trip was $572! Congratulations to our winner of the Chili Cook-off, Rob Johnson!
A Member Looking For Help

Crafty Friends

Join us this Sunday, February 9 from noon-8pm for Crafty Friends. Come share some fellowship while you wor k. Bring part or all of a project – quilters, scrapbookers, jewelers, knitters & more!! Sewers: Bring your machines to work on “Angel Gown” project, small dresses for babies who never come home from the hospital. Bring a Friend!! Join us in Room 5. Bring your project, a snack to share or a free will offering. Ice tea & light supper will be provided. Any questions contact Judy Ruhl at 920-858-3059. Members & Non-members welcome!!
King’s Feast

King’s Feast has been re-tooled! Sadly, we have had to say goodbye to Lynn Ann as our leader, but we have wonderful people of CtK who are stepping up to the challenge to lead. King’s Feast is about enjoying great fellowship, food and entertainment. All in the community are welcome to join us! Check out King’s Feast on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Our next time that we meet is Thursday, February 20th. Gathering starts at 11:30am. The potluck meal is at 12:00pm with entertainment to follow.
 
Open Prayer Space

Lent is a time God calls us to examine our lives. Our theme will be the Wilderness. Will we go? What will we find there? The church sanctuary will be available between 6:30am and 8:00am Wednesday mornings beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 26. This will be a time for individual quiet reflection and contemplation. We are calling this, “Open Space.” Devotionals and bibles will be available. Enter in and see how God is present! 
Wish Upon a Star Board Items for College Care Packages

Thank you so much for all the stars that were taken off the board for the items for the college care packages! Please remember to bring your item in if you haven’t already so that we can put the care packages together. The due date for bringing in the items is this Sunday, February 9th! Twenty-six college students will be receiving a care package and love from our CtK family. Thank you so much for your generous contribution!
Fat Sunday Services
Join us on Fat Sunday and be blessed by the musical styling of the Dixieland band at both the 8:30am & 10:15am services.






Annual Pancake & Porky Breakfast

Join us for a delicious pancake and porky breakfast on Sunday, February 23rd from 9:00am—12:00pm. Help is needed to make this day a success. Please sign up on the board in the narthex to help serve. February Scrip

February Kwik Trip is doubling our discount to 10%! Stop by the SCRIP table Sunday to buy gift cards for gas, dining out, clothing, home improvement projects and many other retailers. You get the full amount of the card you buy, and Christ the King gets a rebate percentage on each card. Check out the New Scrip cards available including $10 Kwik Trip cards!
Egg Cartons & Plastic Bag Drop Off

We will not be a drop off point for egg cartons and plastic bags anymore. It is being discontinued indefinitely. Thank you so much for your generosity in donating these items. It has been much appreciated by the food pantry in Oshkosh.

In Case You Missed It...
Family in Need: 

We are looking for a few items for a family in need. We are looking for donations of a Queen size bed, and a microwave. If you feel that you are able to donate these items, please contact the church office at 920-788-6492 or email Maureen. Thank you for your generosity!
Fellowship
Fellowship Hosts are needed from January to May. There is a new sign-up sheet for the spring of 2020 in the narthex. Please consider signing up for one (or two) time slots. Volunteers set up, make coffee and put out the cookies for fellowship. This could be anyone whether they go to the 8:30am service or the 10:15am service. At least two people per Sunday is required. All your help is greatly appreciated. Questions? Please contact Shirley at 788-6492.
Check Out the Lost and Found
Are you missing a hat or gloves? Maybe your reading glasses? They may be in our lost and found. Please check the table by the Fellowship Hall and help us start fresh for the new year. The lost and found is on the table located at the entrance to the Fellowship Hall. If you are missing any smaller items, please contact the office at 920-788-6492.
Christ the King—SHERWOOD Annual Noodle Night

Sherwood Christ the King is having their Annual Noodle Night on Saturday, February 15th from 5:00pm-7:00pm. $7 per person (maximum per family is $25.00) Children age 3 and under are free. There will be live music, as well. For tickets contact the church office at 920-989-5070 or visit their website. Tickets can be picked up or purchased at the door the night of the event.
Volunteers Needed
We need your help CtK. We are looking for volunteers for the following:

  • Worship Volunteers for the 10:15am service for the month of February. Please follow this link.

  • Fellowship Volunteers for both services for the months of January through May. Signup is in narthex.

  • Meal Helpers for Pancake & Porky breakfast. Sign-up is in the narthex.

  • Worship help for Ash Wednesday, February 26th at the 6:30pm service

  • Lenten Soup Suppers food sign-up is located on the table in the narthex.

We will be doing sign-ups through Signup Genius for the 10:15am worship service for easy scheduling. Please visit this link to sign up. If you know of someone who would like to sign up but does not have computer access, please contact Shirley in the office at 788-6492.
