It's delightful to worship in the garden!
We celebrate together in the garden, keep one another safe

Brunch
Hi everyone! Pride has come and gone but the work remains. The end of June we had a wonderful brunch time together. It was good food and good conversation. So good, in fact, that we decided to do it again. Same place - El Dorado Taqueria on Toronto Rd. Same time - 10:00 AM. Different date: July 24.

We hope you can join us. We will need to make reservations so if you are coming please let me or Anne Mayberry (etruscangirl@hotmail.com) know by Wednesday, July 21.
Micropantry Invitation
Stocking our two micropantries are a way we love our neighbors.

If you would like to volunteer for a specific day, please sign up!
If you are inspired to buy a few extra items at the store, thanks for putting them in the micropantry!
If you would like information, please let us know!

Compassion, Peace and Justice
The first half of 2021, the Compassion, Peace & Justice (CPJ) ministries of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) have been busy. Busy advocating for racial and gender justice. Busy fighting hunger, poverty, and climate change. Busy helping people impacted by disaster. Busy calling for peace.

It seems only appropriate CPJ is also busy with PC(USA) ministry colleagues preparing a 2nd annual Week of Action. Read on for more about the work of these ministries, and how you can get involved.
Presbyterian Week of Action slated for Aug.23-29
Excitement is building for this year’s Presbyterian Week of Action, which takes place Aug. 23-29. It will lift up not only Black Lives Matter but other marginalized groups, such as Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, who have been the target of hatred and discrimination.
Habitat For Humanity Unity build
A donation check of $8,176.89 was recently sent to Sangamon County Habitat for Humanity in support of our Unity Build. Thanks to the generous contributions of church members, totaling $3,176.89, this amount was added to the yearly Mission Committee $5,000 donation. The build is going smoothly even though scarce building materials have resulted in some delays. HVAC, electrical, and plumbing are now being installed by professionals; with plans to hang drywall ceilings July 16 and 17 and walls July 23 and 24. If you are interested in helping out, please visit the Habitat for Humanity of Sangamon County website to sign up. Many thanks to Caroline Cunningham and Claire Eberle who assisted Don Ecklund with preparing and serving a delicious lunch for volunteers who were installing the decking and for the continuing skilled leadership of Greg Krutsinger, who regularly leads the construction.

Share your work with us! We would love to see and display your creativity and talent. Send us your colored pictures (scan, email, regular mail) and we will share them on Sunday mornings and maybe also on our Facebook page.
