Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plan to give you hope and a future."
This verse fills me with contentment. Whether I am faced with a major decision or the tiniest decision, as long as I follow His commands and read His word, I can be assured that God will provide a heavenly kingdom beyond all description, a future for me that keeps me in His glory forever. What a promise!
Colossians 1:16
"For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him."
Interesting the him is not capitalized in Colossians. Whenever I refer to the pronoun meaning God, I capitalize the H.
I marvel at the tiniest seed that matures into a carrot. Add a little sunshine, ample rain and the God given nutrients in the ground and the seed sprouts and knows its duty: to provide nutrients in the orange cylindrical shaped vegetable. So, too, the radish seeds or lima bean seeds lie in wait until the 3 main ingredients, sun, rain and earth are combined.
The mightiest kings or most powerful rulers on earth also were created by God for His glory. Each person has a choice to acknowledge their creator or to follow satan, who was also created by God. Even a tiny virus, powerful enough to infect millions and shut down a world economy is virtually invisible.
The vast oceans and the overwhelming sky that blankets the earth are all created by God.
And yet, God created little ol' me, my eyes are now 70 years old, my bones are 70 and my heart still pumps blood throughout. I am sure there is no one who could even come close to creating such a design! And in gratitude, I dedicate my life for Him. I think that is His plan for me; to prosper, not harm, give me hope and a future!
