A Year of Growth and Inspiration

As we approach the end of the year, it is with great pride and gratitude that we reflect on the incredible journey we have embarked upon together. Let us take a moment to celebrate the milestones we have achieved and the profound impact we have made.

Throughout this year, we have witnessed inspiring stories of women breaking barriers, shattering glass ceilings and making their mark in the industry. Our organization has served as a platform for networking, mentorship and professional development, fostering an environment where women can thrive and succeed. Through webinars, workshops, mentorship program and conferences, we have empowered countless individuals with the knowledge, skills and support needed to excel in their careers.

But our significance goes beyond professional growth. We have built a strong and supportive community that uplifts and champions one another. We have volunteered in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati this year to make an impact in the communities we live in.

Let us continue to push boundaries, challenge norms, and amplify the voices of women in media, entertainment and technology. Together, we are a force to be reckoned with, and the possibilities for our industry are endless.

On behalf The WICT Network: Greater Ohio, we extend our deepest gratitude to each and every member for your unwavering dedication, passion and support. Your contributions have made a lasting impact, not only within our organization but also within the broader industry and beyond. We are privileged to have you as part of our community.

"Calling all Veterans!

Share your story and photo to be highlighted on Veterans Day!

Are you a veteran or do you know a veteran with a remarkable story of service and sacrifice? We want to honor and celebrate our brave heroes on Veterans Day by sharing their stories and photos with our community.

We invite you, or any veterans you know, to participate in our special Veterans Day tribute. Share a photo of yourself or the veteran you know, along with the veteranss name, branch, years of service, a brief description of your/their military service and any message you'd like to share with our community.

To submit your photo and story, please send an email to info@wictgreaterohio.org with the subject line "Veterans Day Tribute."

**Deadline for Submission is November 6, 2023**

Selected photos and stories will be featured on our social media channels and displayed at our Veterans Day 5K walk. By participating, you will be sharing your inspiring journey and helping to raise awareness about the sacrifices made by our veterans.

Thank you for your service and for sharing your story. Together, let's honor and show our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country.

Join us in supporting veterans through the DAV 5K event. There are two ways to participate:

Virtual Participation: Track your steps and mileage while walking between Nov. 17-19. Perfect for those who prefer to participate from home.
In-Person Participation: Join us at the DAV 5K in Cincinnati on Nov. 11. Meet other like-minded individuals who want to show their support for our veterans.

Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization that offers creative programs to improve the social, emotional, physical, and behavioral skills of girls from grades three through eight. We're looking for volunteers to participate in the upcoming Girls on the Run Cincinnati Fall 5K Run. There are various volunteer positions available for this event, and we'd be thrilled to have you onboard. To register, please follow these two easy steps:

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, individuals and organizations come together to promote breast cancer awareness through various activities and events. These can range from fundraising events to educational seminars, and everything in between. The goal of these activities is to encourage women to get regular screenings, as well as to educate the public about the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection.

Non-Profit Spotlight

Neighborhood Alliance is a nonprofit organization in Elyria and Lorain, Ohio. They have been taking care of the Columbus community since 1927. Neighborhood Alliance provides emergency shelter, homeless outreach, daily meal delivery, nutrition services including an emergency food pantry and socialization activities for seniors, childcare and child enrichment programs and access to family support programs such as Help Me Grow for those that are in need. Neighborhood Alliance’s Mission is to empower the people of their community with the tools to create a better life for themselves. “With our inspired mission of strengthening neighborhoods, we continue to expand programs and services to address the diverse and changing needs of families and individuals in Northeast Ohio.

Neighborhood Alliance prides themselves on six values and beliefs. Human Dignity, Transparency, Collaboration, Program Quality, Measurement and Evaluation, and Fiscal Sustainability. Neighborhood Alliance is uniquely positioned to assist residents when circumstances change and the reality of making many of life’s most difficult choices sets in. Neighborhood Alliance touches the lives of thousands every year. About ninety-seven percent of the population that they service lives in poverty. Neighborhood Alliance offers a collaborative approach to serving their community, and work in tandem with other like- mission organizations to deliver services whenever possible to ultimately enhance the lives of those who need it most.
