Chapter 17

January 2026

Dear Colleagues,

As we begin a new year, January offers a meaningful moment to pause and think about the future we’re building both for ourselves and for the Y movement. Investing in your future doesn’t always mean big resolutions or drastic changes, sometimes it starts with simply showing up, staying open, and saying yes to opportunities that help you grow. YPN exists to support those moments of growth, no matter where you are in your professional journey.

One of the greatest strengths of YPN is the network itself. When we connect across associations, roles, and experiences, we create space to learn from one another, share challenges, and celebrate successes together. These relationships don’t just support individual growth they strengthen our Ys and the communities we serve. Your involvement helps turn professional development into something collaborative, encouraging, and impactful.

As a board, we’re excited to continue creating opportunities this year that help you invest in your future while leaning into the power of this network. Whether it’s attending an event, reaching out to a fellow member, or exploring a new leadership opportunity, every step forward matters. We’re grateful to be part of your journey and look forward to growing together in the year ahead.

Kind Regards,

YPN Chapter 17 Board Leadership

Chapter 17 Leadership Updates

The YPN Board is pleased to announce several leadership updates designed to strengthen our chapter, support continuity, and expand leadership development opportunities for members.

Recently our board voted unanimously to transition from a single President role to a President and Vice President leadership model, with each position serving a two-year term. Until the new term structure takes effect, YPN will continue to be led under the guidance of our current President, Bill SanFilippo, ensuring stability and consistency throughout the transition period.

Officer terms will shift from a January–December cycle to a June–May term. This adjustment aligns leadership transitions with YPN’s Annual Recognition Luncheon, held on the first Friday in June. A formal, public transition ceremony will take place at the luncheon to recognize outgoing officers, welcome incoming leaders, and elevate awareness of YPN leadership.
