Lake Crystal Pharmacy OPEN!
From MCHC:
We are excited to announce that the doors to the Lake Crystal Pharmacy are now open! We are still in the process of getting some insurances set up, stocking the shelves, etc. Delays in opening have been triggered by the COVID19 pandemic, and we are still somewhat limited in the transactions that we can make. But, stop by to say "Hello!" and to meet our staff. If you bring in your insurance information, we will put your name in a drawing to win a free one-hour massage in the Physical Therapy Department at MCHC. We are looking forward to serving your pharmacy needs in Lake Crystal!

Two fun "VIRTUAL" events planned from the Blue Earth County Historical Society
BECHS Virtual Pub Crawl

Grab a bite to eat and a drink and join us for a Virtual Pub Crawl. Discover some pub history as well as connect with fellow pub enthusiasts.
This month we will be exploring pubs from the past. While this wouldn’t normally be possible for our walking tour format (as they no longer exist), it works great in a virtual world. Throughout the program, there will be times to break-out into smaller groups to discuss these places as well as your favorite places.
This program is brought to you through Zoom;
Registration is $10/household and will open on June 12.

BECHS Invites you to the Mankato Street Car Presentation

June 25 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
BECHS is excited to continue bringing online programs through Zoom Video Communications. Join us each week for a new program! The June 25 at 4 p.m. topic is “Mankato’s Streetcars.”
Mankato’s Streetcar System has two different phases, Horse-drawn and Electric that ran at different times through Mankato’s history. Hear from Tim Pulis about the research he has done about these two systems as well as why they died out.
Each presentation will be led by a BECHS staff person or historian and include time for Q&A. The cost is $7/adults, Free for BECHS Members. Registration is required and will open one week before each program is scheduled.

Athletes that will be entering grade 7 through 12 and attend Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School, Madelia High School, St. James High School, or Truman High School are eligible for the free physicals. Sports physicals will be offered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
“The cost of equipment and activities can sometimes be a barrier to students that would like to participate in sports,” said Jeff Mengenhausen, MCHC Chief Executive Officer. “This is just one way that we can help the families in our rural communities.”
Athletes that need a sports physical are invited to call MCHC at 507.642.5200 to set up an appointment. Prior to coming for the appointment, athletes should print, complete, and sign the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Sports Physical Form.
