VIRTUAL WALKING TOUR
September 10 at 7 p.m.
Find your fancy hats and parasols and come take a walk through the Silk Stocking District of Mankato. However, there will be very little ‘walking’ as this will be in a virtual format through Zoom. The Virtual Walking Tour will be on September 10 at 7 p.m. Registration is $10/household and can be purchased on our website at BlueEarthCountyHistory.com/Events and click on the Silk Stocking Stroll Virtual Walking Tour event.

The Silk Stocking District of Mankato consists of many of the homes in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood built and owned from 1880-1910. Many of these home owners were captains of industry in Mankato and their elaborate houses showed their status. Through this tour, learn about the men (and women) who owned these houses, their architectural styles and some fun tidbits of the time.
