Brothers and Sisters of the Michigan District: This [past] week the next steps regarding Concordia have been made public. Concordia Wisconsin is selling the main campus (4090 Geddes Road) to the University of Michigan for $60 million dollars. Possession of the property will take place July 1.

MICHIGAN SCHOOL OF MISSIONAL FORMATION – SUMMER COURSES

June-September 2026 | In-person, supplemented with online sessions

Registration is now open for two new courses through the Michigan School of Missional Formation: Office of the Ministry begins June 27, 2026 and Doctrine II begins July 18, 2026. Please note that, while these two courses are to train Deacons, Ministry Assistants, and those preparing to enter the Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) program, all laity are invited, especially those who teach Bible studies, those interested in developing a deeper understanding of Scripture, and those wanting to develop their congregational leadership skills.

FESTIVAL OF SCRIPTURE AND THE ARTS

June 20-21 | Chicago

The annual Festival of Scripture and the Arts will take place at Concordia University Chicago June 20–21. The event is inspired by the Song of Solomon and will feature a variety of lectures, presentations, performances, special commissioned artwork, and the premiere performance of “Song of All Songs,” a new work by Professor of Music Dr. Jonathan Stahlke.
