Outfitting Our Neighbors
February 13 was the coldest night of the year in Mt. Clemens. Despite the freezing temperatures, a fire blazed through the Holiday Garden Apartments in town. It was so bad that many residents were forced to escape by jumping out of their windows. The complex was completely gutted but, by the grace of God, no one lost their life. Months later, boarded up windows, burnt shingles, and uprooted trees are left.

The Michigan District Here We Stand (HWS) Campaign has raised over $1.54 million for Professional Church Worker Scholarships. Every year there are students who have to make the difficult decision of selecting the second choice for their schooling because of cost considerations. A contribution toward church work scholarships directly impacts the number of pastors and teachers who will serve the church and the quality of their training. There are 30 weeks left in the campaign.
