Michigan District Board of Directors Votes to Delay the 2021 Convention

President Maier shares a message regarding the recent vote by LCMS congregations where they approved moving Synod’s 2022 convention to 2023. As a result of that vote, the Michigan District—by virtue of a resolution by the District Board of Directors—has been moved from June 2021 to June 26-28, 2022.

Men and women are invited to join Our Shepherd, Birmingham on Friday, March 19, and hear from Chad Bird as he leads the seminar "Reading the New Testament like a Rabbi: the Old Testament and Early Jewish Writings Help us Understand the Gospels.” A freewill donation is appreciated. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED IN LEXINGTON THIS SUMMER!
The LWML 39th Biennial Convention hosted by the LWML Districts of Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio will be in Lexington, Kentucky, June 24-27, 2021. There will be servant events, mission grants selected, guest speakers, workshops, meet and greets, prayers, singing, worship, and wonderful opportunities to grow our faith in God. The Michigan District Here We Stand (HWS) Campaign has raised over $1.38 million for Professional Church Worker Scholarships. The HWS campaign helped provide scholarships for 82 Michigan District students going into church work this year. This includes 40 students at our Seminaries and 42 students in our Concordia University System. There are 45 weeks left in the campaign.
