Your News & Updates for District 28
Volume 6 | April — June 2022

|
Dear Residents of House District 28,
The short session commenced in May, and we hit the ground running! As an Appropriations Committee chairman, I have been diligently working alongside my co-chairmen to ensure your tax dollars are appropriately and effectively spent.
The big news this quarter is that this short session's expansion budget has been passed and is headed to the Governor's desk for his signature. I am incredibly proud of the work we accomplished this session to better North Carolina, and I look forward to sharing the highlights with you later in this newsletter.
Of course, if my office may ever be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact us by either sending an e-mail to my Legislative Assistant, Jack Denton, at jack.denton@ncleg.gov or via phone at (919) 733-5849.
Sincerely,
Larry

Emily Stuckey, a rising senior at Smithfield Selma High School, served as a page at the General Assembly in May. Thanks for taking the time to visit with our office, Emily!
Pages serve for one week during the summer and perform various tasks for members as well as assist us in committees and during sessions. It's an excellent opportunity for high school students to gain firsthand experience in the legislative process. If you're interested in learning more about the NC House Page Program, click here!
